Lorraine King ceramic artwork

Lorraine is from Coonamble in country NSW. Working between the fields of painting and ceramics, she explores the tradtional art making practices of her people, the Wailwan. Making pieces such as ceramic coolamon’s and carving detailed designs in to them, inspiration for her works comes from her family and her cultural background. Recently Lorraine has learnt more about the traditional art making practices of her people; the Wailwan People, which has further inspired her artworks with vibrant and intricate designs.
